We are looking for an experienced Credit Review Officer to join our Banking Client on an initial 5 month contract based in the City of London.
£170 – 580 per day Inside IR35 via an umbrella company
3 days onsite in City of London/ 2 days remote
5 months, extendable
Key Duties:

Determine obligor ratings based on the banks internal framework, submitting assessments for review and approval.

Create financial forecasts and conduct stress testing to assess the potential impact of adverse scenarios on client creditworthiness.

Analyze financial statementsincluding balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reportsto evaluate the financial stability and creditworthiness of corporate clients.

Conduct both qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, factoring in industry trends, market dynamics, and company-specific risks.

Update obligor ratings regularly in line with changes in client performance or market conditions.

Draft comprehensive credit proposals, including recommendations on credit limits, terms, and conditions.

Ensure all credit-related documentation is maintained accurately and in compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Keep detailed records to support audits and ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed of rating changes.

Identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency of credit analysis and approval processes.
???????Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor\’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline preferred; professional certifications such as CFA or CPA are advantageous.

Prior experience as a credit or financial analyst, ideally within corporate banking or financial services.

Solid understanding of financial products including syndicated and bilateral loans, guarantees, derivatives, trade finance, and leasing.

Knowledge of legal documentation such as loan agreements, bond covenants, ISDAs, and credit support instruments.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

Proven ability to produce high-quality credit documentation with accuracy and clarity.
