With a turnover of £300,000, 10 dedicated staff, and over 200 loyal clients, this firm has built its reputation on providing trusted, personal service to small businesses, limited companies, and sole traders for more than 10 years.
As the current Director prepares for retirement, this role offers aunique succession opportunity. Were looking for aSenior Accountant or Practice Managerto join the team with a clear route tofuture ownership or equity.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
- Manage VAT returns, bookkeeping, and personal/corporation tax returns
- Review and support junior staff members
- Liaise directly with clients, offering clear advice and support
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and HMRC regulations
- Use Sage and Xero for accounts and workflow management
- Work alongside the Director to ensure a smooth leadership transition
Candidate Requirements
- ACCA / ACA / AAT qualified (or qualified by experience)
- Solid UK practice experience, ideally in a small-firm environment
- Strong working knowledge of Sage and Xero
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client needs
- Confident, personable communicator
- Ambition for long-term career progression including future leadership orownership
