Backed by early-stage grants and academic partnerships, we’re now growing our technical team to push our science from lab bench to application.This is a great opportunity to join an early-stage company and help shape the direction of a breakthrough platform in cellular delivery and exosome-based bio innovation.The Role: Senior ScientistWe’re looking for a motivated Senior Scientist to lead and execute lab-based R&D across multiple technical areas from exosome biology to iPSC differentiation and immuno-oncology.You will play a central role in designing experiments, planning studies, and contributing to both strategy and hands-on work. This individual should thrive in the lab and enjoy the energy of a collaborative startup.You’ll work closely with the founding team and will also have opportunities to engage with commercial and academic partners as the company expands.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and execute projects in exosome production, characterisation, and functional assaysLead iPSC differentiation projects, particularly toward immune cell lineages (e.g., NK cells)Support assay development in immuno-oncology, including cell-based potency or immune function testingPlan and execute lab work including cell culture, EV isolation, and downstream analysesInterpret data, troubleshoot experiments, and contribute to strategic decisionsHelp prepare documentation for funding, regulatory, or commercial discussionsRepresent Excellio in scientific collaborations, client calls, or pitch opportunitiesMentor junior staff as we scale, and help foster a collaborative, proactive lab cultureQualifications/ Experience Required:Experience in Exosome / EV biology – including isolation, characterisation, and functional analysisExperience in iPSC differentiation, ideally into immune lineages such as NK cells or dendritic cellsExperience in Immuno-oncology – hands-on experience with immune assays, co-culture models, or cancer cell systemsPhD in a relevant life sciences field with postdoc-level experience/ relevant industry experience.A hands-on mindset and willingness to lead from the lab benchComfort in startup or small-team environments: flexible, fast-moving, and adaptableStrong collaborative and communication skillsIndustry experience or exposure to GMP, GLP, or regulatory translationExperience preparing documentation for grants, IND-enabling work, or commercial engagementAbility to act as a scientific spokesperson for the company at meetings or presentationsWhat We OfferA dynamic startup environment with direct influence on product and platform developmentLong-term growth opportunities as the team and company scaleAutonomy, trust, and a mission-focused culture of collaborationMust have UK VisaApply above or reach out to me at ak@kleboejardine.com for a confidential discussion about the opportunity
