Workday Analyst – London
£55,000 – £65,000 PA
A well-established organisation undergoing a major HR systems transformation is seeking an experienced Workday Analyst to join their team. This is a key role within the business\’s digital transformation strategy, focused on the configuration and optimisation of Workday to meet evolving business needs.
The successful candidate will work closely with HR and IT stakeholders to design, configure and enhance Workday modules across the HCM suite. You\’ll be hands-on with system configuration, supporting continuous improvement efforts and ensuring the platform is fully aligned with operational and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute Workday configuration activities across core HCM modules (e.g., Absence, Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, Time Tracking)
- Work directly with HR teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions
- Manage and deliver enhancements, updates and new features within Workday, ensuring minimal disruption to users
- Support end-to-end testing, validation and deployment of Workday changes and new functionalities
- Maintain and update business processes, condition rules, calculated fields and security groups
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure smooth integration with external systems (e.g., payroll, finance, time & attendance)
- Provide functional guidance and training to HR users and other stakeholders
- Ensure platform compliance with internal governance and data protection standards
Requirements:
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with Workday configuration and administration
- Strong knowledge of Workday HCM modules; Workday Pro certification(s) desirable
- Proven ability to design, test and deploy Workday solutions independently
- Solid understanding of HR processes and how they are enabled through Workday
- Experience working with third-party vendors or in post-implementation environments
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment and work collaboratively across functions
