Wondering how you can develop and deploy your skills in a new and exciting sector?Our UK and Continental Europe team is growing and we’re looking for an Electrical Engineer who can progress in Substation / Primary design to provide support to projects across Jacobs’ markets. This includes work on transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, energy storage systems, inertia systems, wind farms and advanced facilities for mission critical industries in the technology and process sectors. We will consider technical professionals from most backgrounds, but we are especially keen to seek experience within rail, oil and gas refinery, substation/plant design.We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery. We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work.Here\’s what you\’ll needA degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline and Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution or working towards chartered statusExperience within an electrical discipline and experience in delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects with tier 1 & 2 contractorsRelevant, professional experience in HV and LV experience 33kV – 400kVExperience preparing design calculations, reports, and detailed drawings.
