SMT Rework Specialist * Hands on electronic manufacturing position within an established manufacturer. * Responsible for precision rework, repair, and modification of surface mount assemblies * Fantastic manufacturing business with excellent company culture, with strong growth expected and excellent tenure amongst the team. The role requires intricate hands on SMT experience to rework and repair PCBs. This is a permanent SMT position but we can also potentially look at a contract if preferred. Salary & Package: c£35,000 DOE. 25 days holiday + banks. Overtime at x1.5 hourly rate – plenty available and completely optional. The SMT Rework Specialist Responsibilities: * Perform precise manual rework and repair of SMT PCB assemblies to IPC standards. * Replace fine-pitch and complex SMT components (e.g., QFPs, 0402 & BGAs) using hot air rework stations and other tools. * Diagnose and correct soldering issues, including bridging, tombstoning, and cold joints. * Interpret rework instructions, assembly drawings, and customer specifications to complete required modifications. * Inspect rework using magnification, 3D AOI as required.
