Role Overview:

Salary: From £50,000 per annum, depending upon experience

Hours: 0800 – 1800, Monday to Friday – fully onsite

Location: Laindon, Basildon

Contract: Full Time and Permanent

Role Summary:

Mamedica are looking to recruit an experienced Pharmacist to join our Dispensary team, based in Basildon, Essex. The post holder will ensure the safe and effective running of the dispensary, meeting the organisation’s timeframes for medication dispatch, managing queries & complaints, within a non-patient facing role.

Role Duties:

  • Verifying the patient’s name, drug name and strength, dosage form and prescriber’s authenticity on the prescription
  • Clinically screening prescriptions
  • Ensuring adherence to SOPs to medication handling, storage, dispensing and documentation
  • Confirming proper storage of medication according to their specific requirements, such as temperature, light exposure and humidity
  • Maintaining detailed records of medication dispensed to patients, including the patient name, drug name, dosage, duration of treatment, medication’s expiry date and repeat history

Qualification/Experience for Role:

  • Master’s degree in pharmacy or equivalent
  • Valid GPhC registration
  • Experience using MS Office (Excel)
  • Experience working as a qualified pharmacist, however may consider a recently qualified pharmacist
  • Experience within a fast-paced community pharmacy setting desired

Mamedica is a private clinic, with linked pharmacy, which specialises in assisting patients who may not have found satisfactory results for their conditions via their existing medications.

We work with consultants specialising within pain, psychiatry, neurology, palliative care and cancer, so our patients can receive their prescribed medication directly to their door, via next-day delivery service.

Our prescribed medicines are produced and manufactured according to the pharmaceutical-grade EU-GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice.)
