Looking for something beyond fee-earning — but still want to use your legal skills in a meaningful, challenging, people-focused role?

We’re working with a highly respected international law firm to find a Talent Development Manager to join their Corporate group in London. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced lawyer to step away from the traditional path and take on a role that’s embedded right at the heart of one of the firm’s busiest and most high-performing departments.

You’ll work directly with partners, associates, and trainees to manage workflow, career development, performance, training, and resourcing. Think of it as a hybrid of HR business partnering and team leadership — perfect for someone with emotional intelligence, commercial awareness, and a genuine interest in people.

Why this role?

• You’ll be central to how the Corporate group functions, balancing the needs of the business with the development goals of its lawyers.

• You’ll shape resourcing, advise on progression, oversee performance reviews, and work on training and wellbeing initiatives.

• You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders, influence decision-making, and be trusted to handle complex, people-driven issues with authority and empathy.

What we’re looking for:

• A qualified lawyer (5+ PQE) with experience in a Corporate or transactional team

• Someone who can hold their own with senior partners and calmly manage difficult conversations

• Someone proactive, strategic, and invested in mentoring, development, and the human side of law

• Ideally, you’ll have worked in a fast-paced, international firm and understand the demands of the environment

If you’re a lawyer ready to step into something new — but still want to be surrounded by brilliant legal minds and play a key role in developing them — this is the move.
