Job Description Base Location: Hybrid working pattern: 50% of office attendance in either Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness Salary: Up to £800.00 per day Umbrella Working Pattern: Full time This role is perfect for a creative and innovative individual who is passionate about leading design projects from concept to completion. As a Transmission Design Lead Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our design team, driving the development of cutting-edge products and solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our designs meet the highest standards of quality and functionality. Key duties & responsibilities: Drive the project team in the development and delivery of projects across transmission providing leadership, co-ordination, and ownership of interfaces between multiple technical disciplines where required. Building and maintaining productive and enduring relationships with Contractors, Consultants, Stakeholders and Communities to support the sustainable delivery of the projects that you are responsible for. Work closely with our engineers and managers to help ensure that engineering design risks are identified and mitigated to ensure appropriate measures are put in place for the pre-construction phase. Prepare and co-ordinate design assurance reviews and the delivery of key project Gate documentation as per Large Capital Projects Governance. Drive design maturity and delivery of scope to required quality and programme whilst ensuring all contractor deliverables are signed off accordingly. Essential Qualifications: Looking for candidates with Transmission specific experience, Civil or Line engineer Candidates must be degree qualified at minimum in engineering discipline. Experience in transmission infrastructure. Experience in substation construction, Line or Cable 3 years + of previous design lead projects What happens now?
