Company Secretary Assistant
SSQ is partnering with a leading insurance brokerage and a global leader in fintech-enabled financial services. Having grown to nearly $5 billion in revenue, this company is now seeking to recruit a Company Secretary Assistant to join its Legal & Company Secretarial team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with either prior experience in a company secretarial setting and an interest in gaining experience within a fast-paced, high-growth financial services group.
Role Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of Board and Committee meetings, including preparing agendas, collating papers, managing calendars and maintaining action logs.
- Assist with statutory and regulatory filings in both UK and non-UK jurisdictions.
- Maintain accurate company records, registers, and KYC documentation.
- Attend board and committee meetings alongside the Company Secretary or Assistant Company Secretaries.
- Support internal governance processes, policy alignment, and onboarding of new agency partners.
- Assist with wider legal and corporate governance projects as required.
Candidate Requirements
- 2 yearsβ experience in a company secretarial or legal support function
- experience within financial services is preferred but not mandatory
- Experience working on KYC compliance, Companies House, Diligent Entities, Entity governance, AGMs and Annual reports
- Highly organised with strong administrative skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Clear, confident communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Diligent Entities, Board Intelligence, DocuSign or SharePoint is a plus.
