Overall Purpose of the Role To support the efficient and effective operation of the Road Freight department by managing and coordinating all aspects of GB/EU road freight services including import, export, cross-trade, domestic, and courier shipments. This role plays a key part in maintaining high levels of customer service and ensuring all transport requirements are completed accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee end-to-end process for all GB/EU road bookings (import, export, cross-trade, domestic, and courier shipments) Deliver a high level of customer service, ensuring all client-specific requirements are met and exceeded Maintain daily communication with hauliers, foreign partners, and suppliers Liaise with internal departments including Sales Create and process transport documents including collection and delivery notes Arrange insurance cover and prepare packing lists when requested Provide quotations to clients based on service type and costings Generate accurate invoices and handle associated documentation Assist in resolving queries, managing claims, and handling general customer enquiries Input data accurately and upload PODs (Proof of Delivery) into systems Ensure timely collection of all necessary documentation for customs clearance and cross-channel shipments Experience & Knowledge Advantage: Experience using Boxtop (or similar freight management systems) Familiarity with ADR/HAZ goods procedures Understanding of customs documentation such as T1s, EUR1s, Certificates of Origin, and Carnets General knowledge of various transport modes (road, air, sea, courier) TPBN1_UKTJ
