Payroll & Benefits Specialist – £60,000 + Bonus – City of London Frazer Jones are delighted to be supporting a leading name within financial services on the recruitment on a Payroll & Benefits Specialist. Our client is offering hybrid working with 3 days per week required into the office. The Role: Administered bi-weekly payroll for U.S. and Canadian employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. Maintained and updated payroll records, including onboarding and offboarding data, salary adjustments, parental leave/pay, sign-on bonuses, and other variable compensation elements. Processed employee deductions, bonuses, and overtime payments with precision. Generated and distributed payroll reports and pay statements to employees and management. Ensured timely filing of payroll taxes and adherence to all federal, state, provincial, and local tax regulations in both the U.S. and Canada. Collaborated with the Payroll & Benefits Team Leader and Finance Department to reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies. Administered employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and other employer-sponsored benefits for U.S. and Canadian staff. Coordinated open enrolment periods and supported employees with benefits selection and enrolment processes. Responded to employee inquiries regarding benefits and assisted with claims resolution. Maintained accurate and up-to-date benefits records, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations such as ERISA, COBRA, and Canadian benefits legislation. Ensured ongoing compliance with all payroll and benefits-related regulations across both countries. Prepared and submitted required reports, including quarterly and annual tax filings and benefits compliance documentation. Skills needed: Strong understanding of US Payroll. Strong excel skills.
