As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and self-motivated multi skilled Field Service Engineer to complement their professional team and provide the highest levels of technical customer service and satisfaction in the Installation, Service, Repair and Technical Support of a range of automated laboratory equipment associated with Clinical and Industrial markets in the Hertfordshire / St. Albans / Watford region of the UK. Once trained on the portfolio of solutions, the successful Field Service Engineer candidate will undertake a range of Installation, Planned Preventative Service, Reactive Repair and Technical Support activities in various customer-facing environments that will include hospitals and laboratories through to household name blue chip FMCG clients, managing your vehicle stock inventory efficiently and within guidelines, and ensuring activities are completed on time and to the highest levels of accuracy with supporting documentation completed and submitted in accordance with the engineering and service department requirements. In addition to the initial in-house training provided, you will also be required to attend training courses wherever they may be delivered in order to both gain or maintain your knowledge levels and to ensure customers and stakeholders consistently receive the highest levels of service and support, and you will also keep an eye on developments in the industry to keep up to date with advancements in technology. Other duties will include (but not be limited to) assisting with project work when required in order to ensure deadlines are achieved and providing customer on-call support as part of the Service Team rota. You will understand and ensure compliance with all relevant company policies and applicable industry regulations and legislation (including Health & Safety at Work) at all times and ensure that you and those around you follow SSOW on site. To be considered for this varied and challenging Field Service Engineer role within a unique market leading environment, you will essentially hold a full UK driving licence and realistically be qualified to at least ONC level or above in a relevant Electrical / Electronic Engineering discipline, demonstrating 3 or more years\ā experience gained in a comparable service or maintenance environment (with laboratory or medical equipment experience proving distinctly advantageous) and able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills at all levels.
