We\’re looking for a Senior / Lead Engineer who wants to do more than just code-you\’ll own product decisions, define the technical roadmap, and scale a world-class engineering team from the ground up. No PMs. No red tape. Just builders.
This is a rare opportunity to work directly with the founders of a profitable, fast-scaling company, with full autonomy, significant equity, and a chance to apply AI in highly practical ways across our business.
Role Overview
You\’ll be the first Senior / Lead Engineer in a lean team that includes a Junior Engineer and a world-class AI/Data Science specialist. You will Architect and build the next generation of our platform
- Collaborate daily with the founders on strategic and product decisions
- Hands-on code, this role will involve a large portion of coding and architecting
- Scale a small, high-performing team-recruit, mentor, and lead
- Be empowered to test bold ideas and launch quickly. Best ideas win-no politics.
- Drive real-world impact by automating complex workflows in kitchens using AI
What You\’ll Work On
You\’ll have ownership across a variety of projects, including:
- Evolving our data ingestion engine (aggregating partner data)
- Building self-serve dashboards and tools for kitchen operators
- Launching new greenfield initiatives, such as:
- AI-driven food quality control (computer vision + human-in-the-loop)
- Real-time anomaly detection and alerts
- Direct-to-consumer sales tooling
- New data collection tools (e.g. camera feeds, mystery diners)
Skills required
- Tech stack, TypeScript, Node.js, React, Postgres
- Senior software engineer with strong skills in backend / data engineering
- Experience designing scalable architectures and integrations
- Product-oriented mindset-you enjoy shaping roadmaps, not just executing on them
- Comfortable using AI-native tools (e.g. Cursor, GPT-4, etc.) to 10x development
- Builder energy: fast, hands-on, curious, and excited by big real-world problems
