Ballymisert, is home to 21 people and the Inspire team provide 24-hour person-centred support to help them live independently, build resilience, and develop life skills in a supportive environment.
What Makes Ballymisert Special?
Ballymisert is a modern service in Belfast, consisting of 17 single flats and one shared house. The service is recovery-focused, supporting people progress towards independent living at their own pace.
Here, staff don't just provide support they empower individuals to take control of their lives. Some of the key activities and experiences that make our service unique include:
- Life skills development – cooking, budgeting, tenancy support.
- Social & recreational activities – walking groups, games nights, movie nights, themed food nights
- Community outings – Some of our recent outings have included Titanic Belfast & Belmont Road trips
- Emotional and mental health support – working alongside statutory mental health professionals, care managers, annual care reviews
What Does the Role Involve?
As a Project Worker, you will:
- Support service users with daily living skills, medication management, and tenancy support
- Encourage participation in activities and social outings to promote well-being
- Provide emotional and practical support to individuals as they work towards greater independence
- Assist with appointments, shopping, and budgeting support
- Work alongside a team of 15, including a manager, senior support workers, sleepover staff, and project workers
- Take the lead during shifts in the absence of management
Shift Patterns & Availability
- Full-time (37 hours): One long day (7:45am – 10:15pm) + three shorter shifts (early: 7:45am – 3:15pm, late: 2:45pm – 10:15pm, occasional mid-shift 11am – 6:30pm – every other weekend)
- Part-time (30 hours): Four shifts per week (mix of early/late shifts/Mid, – every other weekend)
- Part-time (22.5 hours): Three shifts per week (mix of early/late shifts/Mid, every other weekend)
