Financial Analyst required for 12 months for a long-established world leading employer based in the Southampton area. Key Responsibilities: Manage the tracking and posting of Accruals and Prepayments as part of the month-end close process. Collaborate with project managers on assets under construction to ensure accurate accounting entries are made. Post other month-end general ledger entries, including asset additions, depreciation, and disposals. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure consistency with sub-ledgers. Provide support during financial audits and assist with auditor queries. Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial controls and procedures. Advise and educate stakeholders across the organization to ensure adherence to financial policies. Work closely with Finance Business Partners to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements. Assist in the planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to align with organizational goals. Required Experience and Skills: Proficient in advanced Excel functions. Ability to work independently while being an effective team player. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification is preferred; however, candidates qualified by experience will also be considered. Experience with Microsoft D365 is desirable but not essential. Familiarity with reporting solutions such as Power BI is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on identifying and resolving data discrepancies.
