Role Summary
The Account Executive sits within the Activation Team at Play, specialising in managing and activating partnerships, sponsorships and content.
An integrated role supporting in the brief handling, activation, planning and project management of creative solutions spanning, media partnerships, sponsorships, content, influencer and brand to brand.
You will work as account support across Domino’s, Kia, Starbucks, Harman, Matalan and Ocado.
Purpose of Role
The primary focus of the Account Executive is to assist Account Managers and more senior members of the team to ensure all accounts and projects run as smoothly as possible. You are the backbone of the team with a focus on activation tasks therefore ensuring organisation, attention to detail and proactiveness are key.
You should have a strong understanding of the media landscape and take an active interest in culture.
You will demonstrate strong project management skills in a creative and media environment with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management:
- Ability to support on multiple accounts and can prioritise designated actions, keeping the team updated on progress
- Show a proactive attitude to all tasks and asks
- ‘Prepare’ and ‘follow up’ key mantras – supporting the team in getting ahead and what is required next
Writing and Presentation Skills:
- Develop strong written skills to use across internal and external documents – status reports, meeting notes, briefs, reporting and case studies
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with clients, media partners and internal teams
- Good attention to detail and build a strong understanding of media plans
- Familiar with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and develop strong skills in Teams
Approach, Initiative & problem solving:
- Strive to be positive and proactive across all asks
- Take ownership and feel fully accountability for your actions, know how they support the wider team
- Always think ahead having your clients front of mind
- Seek out agency trends, industry updates and product launches and share with wider team
Relationships:
- Clients & Partners: Good relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Inter-Agency: Build a solid relationship with internal client teams and wider Play specialisms
- Suppliers & Agencies: Build strong relationships with all media owners and build a strong understanding of the market
Strategic skills and responding to client & new business briefs:
- Support in research and administrative tasks as part of the response to brief
- Begin to understand on how insights, strategy and measrement are considered in our day-to-day work
Campaign execution & Administration:
- Support in planning and activation of all projects
- Support in the administrative process of the accounts (status docs, timelines, meeting follow ups, reporting)
- Ensure quality control check-ins with more senior members of the team as part of the project management of campaigns.
- Monitor campaigns in line with project timeline
Client services & Industry Knowledge:
- Strong interest and enthusiasm across all media channels
- Show genuine interest in client’s business and sector – flagging anything of interest to wider team
People Management
- AE requires strong communication skills to keep their teams up to date with workloads and communicate any challenges.
Time Management
- Efficient time management is essential with ability to prioritise. Factor in time for wider team review ahead of client deadlines. Able to manage expectations internally and externally.
Finance
- Good understanding of the Havas Play commercial model
- Good understanding of wider Havas Media commercial models i.e. barter
- Be fully competent with the finance systems and process (Monday.com, Pulse, Sync) Accurate and efficient timesheet reporting
