Azure 3rd Line Engineer (Managed Service Provider) Job Title: Azure 3rd Line Engineer Salary: £55,000 £60,000 DOE Role Overview We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Azure 3rd Line Engineer to join our technical team within a dynamic and fast-paced Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. This role will focus on advanced support of Microsoft Azure-based solutions for multiple clients across a range of industries. Key Responsibilities Provide expert 3rd line support for Microsoft Azure environments, hybrid cloud systems, and core infrastructure services. Respond to and resolve escalated technical incidents and service requests Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of cloud and hybrid systems. Implement and support identity and access management using Azure AD, conditional access, and MFA. Work closely with the Projects and Security teams on cloud deployments, patching strategies, and compliance (e.g. Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001). Liaise with vendors and escalate issues where necessary to Microsoft or third-party support teams. Support the technical enablement of junior staff and provide mentoring when required. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience in a 3rd line support or infrastructure engineer role within an MSP or IT service provider environment. Strong knowledge of Azure services, including VMs, Azure Landing Zone, Storage (Block storage, file storage, Azure Files, Azure Data Lake Storage) Scripting and Automation: Azure CLI & Terraform Expertise in Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) administration and Active Directory. Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and system administration. Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, and routing. Knowledge of RMM tools and ticketing systems such as Autotask, ConnectWise, or similar. Excellent documentation, customer service, and troubleshooting skills.
