About the Role As Medical Director at Nelson House, you will play a pivotal role in both clinical and operational aspects of our service. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee clinical governance, quality improvement, and ensure the highest standards of care. Responsibilities include: Clinical Leadership: Providing line management and supervision to medical colleagues, including conducting appraisals, overseeing investigations, and supporting clinical audits. Governance & Quality Improvement: Engaging in clinical governance activities, promoting best practices, and leading initiatives to enhance patient care quality. Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) Leadership: Chairing MAC meetings, fostering collaborative decision-making, and ensuring medical standards align with Priory\’s values. Consultant Psychiatrist Responsibilities In your dual role as Consultant Psychiatrist, you will: Conduct thorough clinical assessments, diagnoses, and create personalised treatment plans. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers, to deliver integrated, high-quality care. Participate in case reviews, contributing your expertise and guiding treatment approaches. What We’re Looking For Qualifications: CCT in General Adult Psychiatry and full GMC registration. Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in a similar inpatient setting.
