Group Management Accountant – Wythenshawe
Salary: Up to £60,000| Route to Finance Manager | Relaxed Environment | Rapidly growing business
Do you want a role where you can make a real impact, work across a growing group, and still have a life outside of month-end?
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a £100m turnover business group at their South Manchester site. You'll be working closely with the long-standing Group Finance Director and playing a central role in supporting three successful businesses.
This is a varied and hands-on position that will give you full exposure to the end-to-end finance function, with support from an experienced and loyal team. There's also a clear progression path to Finance Manager, giving you full team leadership.
Phase 1: Group Management Accountant – Reporting in to the Group FD, looking after 1 x Assistant Accountant from day 1 and taking ownership of the Management Accounts.
Phase 2: Group Finance Manager – You will be responsible for leading a team of 9, overseeing the group finance team.
Key Highlights of the Role:
- Lead Audit liaison with top 10 firm.
- Phased and "milestones" development plan.
- Lead on banking relationship.
- Direct line to business Directors.
- Team management, growing in number of direct reports as your role develops
- A Finance Director above you who is genuinely wanting you to progress, succeed and will invest as much time as possible to get you there.
- Produce the management accounts for all 3 businesses from day one.
- Manage ad hoc financial tasks and contribute to group-wide efficiencies.
- Oversee one direct report.
- Interact with stakeholders across audit, directors, and operational finance.
