We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join our specialist provision, where every day offers the chance to support, inspire, and empower pupils with a range of complex needs.

Our school caters to students with a variety of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), speech and language difficulties, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. The successful candidate will have the creativity, patience, and confidence to adapt their teaching to meet each child\’s individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with individual EHCP targets

  • Create a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment

  • Work closely with TAs, therapists, SENCOs, and families to provide holistic support

  • Track progress and contribute to assessments, annual reviews, and target setting

  • Support pupils\’ emotional wellbeing and behaviour using positive strategies

What We\’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)

  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND or a strong interest in inclusive education

  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills

  • A calm, flexible, and reflective approach

  • Passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a special school, PRU, or alternative provision

  • Knowledge of strategies such as TEACCH, PECS, Makaton, or sensory integration

  • Familiarity with the EHCP process and progress tracking in SEND settings
