Job Description

Salary – Competitive dependant on experience

Hours – Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with flexible, hybrid working

Holiday – 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays)

Key responsibilities of the Audit Assistant Manager will include:

  • managing the audit process from planning through to completion and review the work of less experienced colleagues. User knowledge of both FRS102 an advantage
  • demonstrate excellent technical ability
  • ability to build effective client relationships and manage each job to ensure client expectations, budgets and deadlines are met
  • management & development of the audit team through providing thoughtful feedback on jobs, offering coaching and support as necessary and supporting the team with useful, constructive feedback as appropriate
  • sharing best practice and ideas within the team for process improvement and development of each other

About you –

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified preferred although will consider QBE
  • at least 3 years’ experience of working in Audit within an accountancy practice
  • highly computer literate
  • up to date with current auditing and accounting issues and conversant with relevant auditing and accounting standards, company law etc.
  • dynamic, adaptable and receptive to embrace and drive positive change
  • ambitious, results orientated
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • analytical skills and attention to detail and ability to think laterally to be capable of identifying potential problems and providing solutions
  • show initiative, exercise judgement and take ownership of tasks from start to finish
  • collaborative team player 
  • travel is limited but you will need to drive and have your own vehicle
