Job Description
Employer description:
At Sharp, we know the tech landscape is far from simple. It’s expansive and ever growing, it’s connected and interdependent, complex and evolving. Our mission is simple, to ‘make technology easy’. Just three words, but they drive our culture, behaviour and goals.
For over 50 years we've been supporting commercial, public sector and corporate organisations with their technology requirements. It doesn't matter whether you’re trying to launch a new service, streamline operations, or just better serve your customers, we are here to help you grow your organisation and achieve your goals.
Our service is bespoke and tailored to you. We listen, understand and consider your complex technology needs, then create a seamless solution that works – so you can focus on doing what you do best.
Overview:
You will be part of a small but growing Analytics and Business Solutions team. Within this team you will be responsible for problem solving and testing within the existing in-house solutions as well as supporting end users/customers with use of the systems.
The role will require working closely with the internal development team and stakeholders to identify the business needs and help to guide and shape the development of bespoke systems. You will also assist in the documentation, creation and analysis of data at the request of stakeholders throughout the business to aid in effective monitoring, decision making and problem identification.
Responsibilities:
- Detect, identify, and report on collected copier information to reduce company expenses.
- Support and assist end users of various internal systems.
- Liaise with stakeholders on system issues, identify potential solutions and work to correct these.
- Undertake thorough testing of newly developed or introduced solutions to ensure they are business ready and fit for purpose.
- Work with internal departments to communicate any identified issues, solutions and best practice for implementation of change.
- Generate and maintain reporting analysis for a range of stakeholders.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for auditing, testing and training.
Desirable skills:
- Good ICT skills, including an interest in basic networking, databases and software development.
- An analytical mindset or experience of analysing data as well as an ability to document any findings.
- Effective planning and organisation skills.
- Self-motivated and well organised.
- Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with interpersonal skills to establish relationships with stakeholders.
- The ability to work well in a team, follow instructions and learn from others.
- Meticulous attention to detail / high level of accuracy.
- An enthusiastic and confident personality with effective communication skills and a good work ethic.
Entry requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
