Neurodevelopment Child And Adolescent Psychiatrist – ADHD & Autism

£155 p/h

Flexible days from Monday – Friday

Hybrid working available

Clinics are held F2F – all admin can be completed remotely.

Essential:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • Extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of children with ADHD, Autism, and other mental health conditions.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic tools such as DSM-5, ICD-11, and familiarity with ADOS-2, ADI-R, or QbTest interpretation.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead psychiatric diagnosis and formulation of ADHD and co-occurring conditions.
  • Contribute to or lead multi-disciplinary assessments for Autism (in conjunction with ADOS-2, ADI-R trained professionals).
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents aged 5–18.
  • Initiate and monitor pharmacological treatments for ADHD in line with NICE guidelines.
  • Manage complex presentations, including comorbid anxiety, mood, and behavioural difficulties.
  • Provide written reports, treatment plans, and participate in MDT reviews.
  • Maintain clinical records in accordance with CQC, GMC, and safeguarding standards.
