Building Services Electrical Lead – Life Science Project in Oxford\\n\\nAre you an experienced Building Services Electrical Lead with a passion for delivering high-quality, innovative life science projects? A leading construction company is seeking a talented professional to oversee all electrical services on a major life science and commercial office development in Oxford. This exciting role offers an opportunity to be part of a cutting-edge project while aligning with a company that values safety, integrity, and client focus.\\n\\nAbout The Project:\\n\\n * Three life-science and commercial office buildings in Oxford.\\n\\nYour Role: As the Electrical Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of all electrical services for this project, ensuring the highest standards in time, budget, safety, and quality.\\n\\nYou will:\\n\\n * Manage the Electrical construction team and ensure compliance with project and company standards.\\n\\n * Be accountable for the construction aspects of Electrical services, including site management, programme, health & safety, quality, and commissioning.\\n\\n * Liaise with the Mechanical Lead to coordinate MEP delivery under deadlines and budget.\\n\\n * Foster strong relationships with stakeholders including clients, consultants, trade contractors, and other team members.\\n\\n * Monitor project progress, identify trends and critical path risks, and ensure effective coordination between trades.\\n\\n * Manage the Quality Assurance process, ensuring all trade contractors follow the agreed process for top-tier installations.\\n\\n * Lead commissioning strategies, including IST approach, ATP’s, and Soft Landings.\\n\\n * Work towards net-zero carbon transition by identifying and managing carbon emissions throughout the delivery of work.\\n\\nRequirements:\\n\\n * Proven experience managing Electrical services on projects of £10m+ value.\\n\\n * Strong knowledge in Building Services Engineering, installation and testing methods, and commissioning.\\n\\n * Familiarity with construction sequencing, dependencies, and collaboration with other trades and build elements.\\n\\n * Proficiency in planning and managing construction schedules, critical paths, and commissioning activities.\\n\\n * Strong focus on safety and quality assurance processes, with an understanding of the necessary standards.\\n\\n * Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.\\n\\n * Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and make decisions effectively.\\n\\n * Relevant qualifications such as Trade/Technical Engineering apprenticeship, SMSTS, CSCS card.\\n\\n * Experience within the life sciences or commercial sector is an advantage.\\n\\nYou’ll Also Have:\\n\\n * A comprehensive understanding of the commissioning process, Cause & Effect, BMS functionality, and IST.\\n\\n * Accreditation with professional bodies such as CIBSE, IET, or CIOB.\\n\\n * Strong analytical, presentation, and decision-making skills.\\n\\n * A collaborative and innovative mindset with the ability to influence and guide teams to success.\\n\\n * Formal Engineering or Construction qualifications (HNC, HND, BTEC, or equivalent)
