Intermediate or Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – (Building Services / MEP)

This Mechanical Design Engineer role is to join a busy, growing engineering consultancy, where you will be part of a close knit team of engineers working on a range of sectors including healthcare and commercial They’re a conscientious team who have created a friendly supportive working environment, where you’ll feel at home from day one.

Responsibilities Include

  • Carrying out the designs for a diverse range of building services
  • To include design from concept to handover, including preparation of drawings, specifications, and all relevant tender documentation.
  • Producing drawings (Layouts, Schematics, & Sections),
  • To produce estimates as required and formulate budgets for projects as required.
  • Leading the development of sustainable energy strategies for buildings, including communicating with relevant authorities to agree plans
  • Reviewing and commenting on information provided by the client and other members of the professional team.
  • Attending and contributing to design team meetings, client meetings, pre-contract and post-contract meetings.
  • Maintain existing client relationship
  • Guiding junior team members.

Experience Required

  • You will have a relevant degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical or building services related.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services)
  • Experience of design from concept to handover, including calculations, preparation of drawings, specifications, and all relevant tender documentation.
  • Chartership or progressing towards chartership would be advantageous
  • Keen to continue your professional development keeping up to-date with developments in engineering
  • Hold a full UK driving license.
