About the Opportunity
Our client is a specialist sustainability consultancy supporting clients across the built environment with environmental strategies and carbon management. They help organisations measure, manage, and reduce their environmental impact through practical, data-driven solutions.
They are seeking a proactive Sustainability Advisor with expertise in GHG emissions reporting, Scope 1, 2, 3 calculations, and net zero strategy development . This role offers a chance to work remotely, contributing directly to high-impact projects advancing sustainable and low-carbon outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting , including Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon footprint calculations
- Support the development and implementation of net zero strategies and carbon reduction plans
- Prepare clear, accurate sustainability reports, dashboards, and client presentations
- Collect, validate, and analyse environmental data across energy, carbon, water, and waste metrics
- Monitor and interpret relevant regulatory frameworks and voluntary reporting standards (e.g., SECR, TCFD, CDP)
- Assist clients with sustainability disclosures and compliance requirements
- Provide expert guidance on best practices for carbon management and environmental performance improvement
- Collaborate remotely with clients, design teams, and contractors, and attend occasional London-based meetings or site visits
Candidate Profile
- Degree-qualified in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Energy, or a related discipline
- 1β3 yearsβ experience in a sustainability advisory, consultancy, or ESG reporting role
- Strong knowledge of GHG accounting standards, Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and net zero frameworks
- Familiarity with reporting frameworks such as the GHG Protocol, SECR, TCFD, and SBTi
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and data management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear reports and presentations
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel; experience with data visualisation or carbon management software is a plus
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
- London-based or within reasonable travel distance for occasional visits
