Sustainability Consultant
Location: Hybrid – Surrey

My client, a forward-thinking sustainability and building performance consultancy based in Surrey, is looking to appoint a Sustainability Consultant to support their growing project pipeline.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled individual with a background in sustainable building design and compliance to contribute to a diverse range of projects across the built environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct SBEM assessments and produce EPCs for both new and existing buildings
- Deliver BREEAM assessments across commercial and residential schemes
- Prepare SCAR (Simplified Compliance Assessment Reports) for Building Regulations submissions
- Undertake IES modelling and dynamic thermal simulations to support low-energy building design
- Produce sustainability reports and planning support documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to integrate sustainability at all project stages
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with SBEM assessments and EPC production (Level 4/5 desirable)
- Familiarity with BREEAM processes (qualified or working towards preferred)
- Understanding of SCAR methodology and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in IES VE modelling software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and ability to work both independently and in a team
