Role Overview

The Financial Controller will oversee all financial aspects, ensuring rigorous financial processes and accurate reporting. This standalone position requires a proactive individual capable of handling various financial tasks, including accounting, auditing, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and rigor.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes to align with strategic goals.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, highlighting key insights and variances.
  • Oversee accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to develop strategic financial plans and initiatives.
  • Implement and optimize financial systems, preferably Xero, for improved efficiency.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
  • Liaise with sales team sand improve revenue recognition and reporting.

Required Skills & Experience

  • ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with at least 5 years of financial management experience.
  • Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and audit processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
