SEMH Teaching Assistant – Hiring Immediately (2 Roles Available)

We have an urgent requirement for two SEMH Teaching Assistants to join our Austen, Basingstoke campus . This is a full-time role working 4 hours per day , available on either a permanent or temp-to-perm basis .

This opportunity is ideal for candidates seeking consistent work in a specialist setting, with reduced daily hours and an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support

  • Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation

  • Supporting engagement in learning and daily routines

  • Working closely with teaching and pastoral teams

About You
  • Experience working with SEMH or challenging behaviour

  • Background in education, care, youth work, or similar

  • Calm, resilient, and reliable

  • Committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing
