Intermediate / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Building Services / MEP £40k – £60k (dept on experience level) London, City, Liverpool Street (Hybrid) Senior Mechanical Design Engineer / Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer / Consultancy / London / MEP / Building Services This role is an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established building services consultancy with a secure and interesting pipeline of work. It involves all stages of the design process through to handover. Projects are often large and complex and can include large commercial builds, life sciences, manufacturing, government property and education. Key Responsibilities * Design, manage and supervise projects, establish client brief, technical requirements, scope of works and provide information for cost plans. * Assist project lead with monitoring engineering resource requirement for each project within your control. * Carry out concept design to detailed design through to tender and completion. * Liaise with the design team to produce co-ordinated designs monitor and control project progress and design variations. * Maintain client and design team relationships. * When acting as design team leader, co-ordinate with other project disciplines. * Oversee site works, snagging and testing. Qualifications * Educational qualifications to a degree level or equivalent * Experienced in mechanical design for building services * Experienced user of industry standard design software * Preferably chartered or working towards chartered status * Personable with strong communication skills. * Open to take up ongoing training and professional development opportunities
