Sports Lecturer

Location: Aylesbury

Salary: £30,000 – £34,500 per annum (pro rata for fractional posts)Hours: 35 per week (Full-Time)

Do you have experience in teaching and working within the sport and fitness industry? Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of Sport Scientists, Coaches, Personal Trainers, Sports Therapists, or Physiotherapists?

An exciting opportunity has opened for a full-time Sports Lecturer based at a Further Education campus in Aylesbury, with occasional teaching responsibilities at a campus in Wycombe. We're seeking either an experienced sports lecturer or a motivated industry professional looking to transition into teaching-full training and support will be provided.

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons in sport and fitness disciplines.
  • Use your industry knowledge to create dynamic, real-world learning experiences.
  • Support learners in overcoming barriers to achieve their career goals.
  • Collaborate with peers and employers to keep the curriculum current and relevant.
  • Ideally bring fitness coaching qualifications and (optionally) experience in public/uniformed services.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous teaching experience in sport and fitness or relevant industry expertise.
  • Recognised coaching and fitness instruction qualifications.
  • Commitment to student success and inclusive education.
  • Willingness to work toward a teaching qualification (training provided).
  • Experience in public services (desirable but not essential).
