Job Description

A client within the Public Sector based in reater Manchester is currently recruiting for an Estates Surveyor to join their Property Division team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a property and asset management environment.The Role Key purpose of the role it to contribute to the effective delivery of the Asset Management Planning, Estates Management and Valuation functions. The role will support the council’s vision of ‘Confident Place – Confident People’ by managing key property assets and leading delivery in core service areas such as disposals, acquisitions, valuations and estate management.Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:• Disposal of land and property assets declared surplus to the Council's requirements• Acquisition of land and property interests for corporate schemes• Management of the Council’s let estate, including commercial and non-commercial property portfolios• Provision of asset valuations for capital accounting and decision-making purposes• Identification and implementation of opportunities for service improvement, income generation and efficienciesThe Candidate To be considered for this role, you will require:• Full Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)• Evidence of ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to meet RICS requirements• A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visitsThe below skills would be beneficial for the role:• Strong negotiation skills with developers, agents, and external stakeholders• Knowledge of Landlord & Tenant legislation and local authority asset management procedures• Ability to provide clear and coherent advice, reports and property appraisals to senior stakeholdersThe client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such is offering £325 per day Umbrella inside IR35, (approx. £250 per day PAYE)How to ApplyIf this position sounds of interest, email a copy of your up-to-date CV to .uk or call Amy at Service Care Construction on to discuss the vacancy in more detail.Also, if this role is not of interest to you, but you are looking for new opportunities, please still get in touch as we cover all construction-related vacancies across the region.Referral BonusIf this role is not suitable for yourself, but you know someone who may be interested, please pass on their details or forward these details to them.
