Conveyancing Partner (Head of Department)

A newly established and forward-thinking legal firm based in Manchester City Centre is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor to join as Partner and Head of Department. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Conveyancing Department, including oversight of junior solicitors and support staff
- Drive and implement the department’s strategic plan to deliver on growth and business objectives
- Manage a caseload of high-value residential and commercial transactions from instruction to completion
- Advise clients on all aspects of conveyancing, from traditional transactions to distressed and complex matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documentation
- Represent clients in negotiations and resolve property-related disputes when required
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships through exceptional service delivery
- Stay informed of legislative changes and ensure full compliance across the department
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in litigation, corporate recovery, and finance to offer holistic legal support
- Mentor junior legal staff and contribute to their professional development
- Handle transactions across various sectors including developments, hotels, residential portfolios, mixed-use assets, and freehold investments
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified solicitor with significant experience in residential and commercial conveyancing
