Bid Writer
Location: Manchester, Liverpool or Leeds

We\’re seeking a Bid Writer to join our client’s team, a high profile professional services firm that prides itself on making a difference. This role involves crafting persuasive, tailored bids and proposals that highlight the firm\’s strengths, values, legal expertise, and value proposition. You will play a crucial role in securing new business and maintaining strong internal stakeholder relationships.
The Role:
- Collaborate with the Bid Manager and Marketing to ensure consistent, on-brand messaging across all bids and proposals.
- Analyse tender questions and plan winning responses.
- Produce compelling content for public and private sector bids, ensuring full compliance.
- Review, edit, and create supporting bid documents.
- Maintain and expand the bid knowledge base, including templates, evidence, case studies, and CVs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Work with the Bid Manager on all bid stages, from developing win strategies to content creation and delivery.
- Coach pitch teams to deliver engaging and compelling presentations.
- Monitor market opportunities and advise on bid/no-bid decisions with the Bid Manager.
- Ensure all bids are compliant and include all required documentation for submission.
- Take ownership of PQQ/SQ responses, liaising with internal teams to ensure timely completion.
Who we are looking for:
- Minimum 2 years\’ experience in a similar bid writing position, professional services (legal/accounting/real estate highly beneficial)
- Proven track record in bid writing and a strong understanding of the tendering process.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and develop senior stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, with a clear, concise, and positive writing style, exceptional grammar, and keen attention to detail.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
- Adaptable and flexible to suit bid delivery team and/or business requirements.
