Initial 6-month contract – Interim Data Migration Delivery Manager – Incredible opportunity with a global market leading brand.
Knowledge and Experience:
- MUST have experience of both cleansing and migration
- Use of Jira tool for programme planning, work tasks and RAID capture and Confluence for documenting
- Knowledge and experience of AGILE SCRUM project delivery
- Knowledge and experience of MS Azure, SQL/Python code, Data Bricks & SQL DB
- Knowledge of data migration approaches and modelling
Brief Project Overview:
- New system implementation for Territory management and Route Planning to be brought into the Domiciliary business replacing the current system
- Data cleanse and integration activities are underway – working with 3rd party matching agency; creating mapping documentation between old and new systems
- Cleanse & Migration will be required following these activities to ensure all cleansed and mapped data is successfully migrated to the new system and that all integrations into new system are working
- Migration & Cleansing scoping activity due to commence 1st week of August and running for 6 months, to include scoping, iterative scripting and testing period and full E2E run of testing
Tasks:
- Fully manage the cleanse & migration plan from GV7 to NFS
- Work with the BAs and data migration engineers to understand/advise on the mapping documentation & file outputs
- Analyse the scope alongside the BAs and data engineers involved in data cleanse activities
- Advise on the cleanse & migration cut over processes
- Oversee the creation of scripts for cleanse & migration and ensure they are reuseable (we have a project test team for support in testing the scripts) using the signed off mapping documents
- Provide input and document the error handling processes needed during cut over (script automation)
- Input into conversations with Head of Regional data delivery / Project PM and 3rd parties to agree on migration activities
- Sign off and ownership of the mapping document, alongside the BAs
- Collaboration with Architects, data governance, BAs and data engineers to enable the creation of the cleanse & migration scripts using the appropriate mapping documents
Governance Tasks:
- Manage cleanse & migration defects, working with QA team, internal and 3rd party teams, identifying root cause, fix and retest
- Ensure adherence to data governance and ensure other data workstreams are consulted/made aware
- Ownership of the cleanse and migration plan, monitoring milestones, resources and reporting back to Programme PMs
- Manage changes in delivery scope and requirements (in line with Specsavers project governance) and alongside Programme PM
- Management of risks and issues associated to cleanse and migration work, and inform/escalate to Programme PMs
