CNC Setter Operator – Milling
Permanent Position
£42,000 to £50,000 basic salary – plus overtime available
Immediate position
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Milling CNC Setter Operator – that is looking to grow and develop your career. Dealing in Aviation, Automotive, Marine and high spec engineering quality machining. We are looking for someone at the top of the industry who wants to show their skills and capabilities
Must have experience with setting and operating 5 axis or 4 axis or 3 axis CNC Milling machines
Part programming experience would also be of benefit as well
Days Monday to Friday
7am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7am to 1pm Friday
Based in Stone, Staffordshire
Working in a high end manufacturing and production environment
Experienced in machining complex components from a variety of metals
Duties of a CNC Setter Operator
- Working in the automotive, aviation and marine industry
- Set and operate CNC machinery to produce designated components.
- Set part datums using probing cycles and manual methods
- Able to enter and change tool lengths and datum positions as and when needed.
- Ensure all equipment used is in calibration and good operating condition
Experience required for a CNC Setter Operator
- Milling
- Previous work experience on 5 axis, 4 axis or 3 axis CNC Machines
- Set and operate CNC using Fanuc control
- Relevant experience within Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering
- Understanding of Engineering drawings
- Working knowledge of control systems
- Change tools, know speeds and feeds
- Ability to use a variety of in process gauging and inspection equipment
- Machining experience
- Experienced in machining complex components from a variety of metals
- Good communicator, written and verbal
- Working in a manufacturing and production background
