Job Description

Job Title: Systems Analyst – Satellite Ground Segment

Location: Hybrid/London based
Contract Type: 3 months rolling Contract (12 months, extension possible)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Systems Analyst to support a high-profile satellite communications program. You will be responsible for reviewing, analysing, and documenting system and functional requirements for a space-based Earth Ground Segment (EGS) initiative, including Network Operations Centre (NOC) functions. This is a predominantly independent contributor role with limited internal resource availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and evaluate functional requirements for the satellite ground segment.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to validate capability alignment.

  • Interface with engineering teams to assess system designs, particularly in relation to NOC compatibility.

  • Identify and document requirements gaps, especially where EGS interfaces with external systems.

  • Assist in development of test plans to ensure traceability of requirements.

  • Participate in operational readiness reviews and process validation for the NOC.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in systems analysis, ideally in aerospace, satellite, or telecoms.

  • Strong familiarity with ground segment architecture and operations centres.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a collaborative engineering environment.

  • Experience with traceability tools, requirements management, and test planning.

  • Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills.
