Job Description

Our client is a private investment firm based in central London. With over £3bn AUM, this business is in growth mode and are keen to add to their Finance function. We are seeking a newly/recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) to perform a very broad role within the corporate accounting team.

The Role

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Reconcile member accounts and maintain investment and capital registers.
  • Consolidation adjustments for group companies
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and account for all transactions.
  • Issue invoices to related parties and external entities.
  • Manage payment processes, including fund recharge settlements.
  • Review and prepare distribution notices
  • Review fund models and update firm forecasts
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and corporate tax returns.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and oversee cash flow management.
  • Support year-end audits, including preparation of audit files and responding to auditor queries.

Requirements

  • You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • You are very likely to be coming from a mid-tier accounting firm seeking your first role post-practice
  • Industry experience would also be very welcome, especially if you are working for an investment business
  • Able to work well within a small team
  • Have excellent all round interpersonal skills
