Job Title: Finance Business Partner
Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
Contract Type: Fixed-term until January 2026
Rate: £653.37 per day (via Umbrella company)
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join a dynamic team within a leading financial institution. This role is critical in supporting the business to set and achieve its strategic objectives through insightful financial analysis, performance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.
You will play a key role in understanding monthly performance, forecasting the P&L, and identifying variances against strategic goals. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver monthly management reporting to support business line profitability
• Build and maintain monthly MI packs, including variance analysis and control checks
• Conduct ad-hoc forecasting, scenario planning, and value driver analysis
• Partner with key stakeholders to provide insights and explain financial performance
• Support the development of a strong control environment across finance functions
Required Qualifications:
Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience in financial and management reporting
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis
• Ability to build and maintain robust control environments
• Commercial acumen with the ability to interpret business drivers and identify risks/opportunities
• Experience working with banking or financial services P&L and balance sheets
• Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation and reporting
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to present complex financial information in a clear and accessible manner
• Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to cross-functional teamwork
Desirable Skills:
• Experience with VBA, Macros, and SQL
