Job Description
PIMCO ' s growing $[40+] billion alternative investing platform invests in a wide range of asset types and geographies.
PIMCO ' s corporate distressed and special situations team manages funds with a private equity structure and focuses on investing in corporate opportunities across stressed/distressed corporate bonds and bank loans, direct lending, rescue financings, post-reorg equity, and other illiquid corporate securities. PIMCO is seeking a Senior Analyst to join this growing team, to be based in our London office.
You will be directly involved in sourcing, evaluating, underwriting and managing corporate distressed and special situations investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Source differentiated distressed and special situations investment ideas in both secondary and primary markets
- Analyse and underwrite complex corporate credit investments with meaningful total return opportunities
- Drive negotiation and documentation of restructurings and special situations direct lending deals
- Interact extensively across the private and public desks with portfolio managers/traders to implement strategies
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years' experience investing in European distressed and special situations markets
- Prior established relationships with restructuring community (both advisory firms and other buy-side firms) to drive idea flow as well as ease execution of ideas where collaboration with other debt holders is required or desirable
- Strong work ethic and integrity; you should be a team player that is proactive and self-motivated
- Good communicator, strong written and oral presentation abilities; needs to be persuasive and credible
- Proficiency in German and/or Spanish will be considered an asset
