Radio Technician (Workshop)
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who thrives in a dynamic environment to join our team. Whether you are an experienced Radio Technician or someone with a passion for electronics, you could be the ideal candidate. Experience in basic analogue and digital programming is a plus.
Key Duties:
- Troubleshooting & repair of high-end radio products.
- PAT testing of electrical equipmentPrepare equipment for hire and sale, both radio and public address
- Having a good hand for soldering and identifying electronic components
- Ability to follow written/verbal instructions and service schedules to repair customer product.
- Extensive troubleshooting to the component level for both analogue and digital radios
- Complete repair reports via our Service Software
- Attendance at client events, when required, possible weekend work may be involved.
- Communicating with customers by telephone
- Advising Line Manager of recurring issues
Experience and Qualifications: desirable
- A minimum of One-year electronics or RF experience,
- An understanding of RF theory and basic electronics ,
- Proficiency at electrical circuit troubleshooting and the operation of test equipment,
- Experience with Motorola communication equipment (e.g., two-way radios) and public safety systems is an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Essential
- Proficient in computer use.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain good morale.

- Willingness to develop an understanding of communication technologies.

Pay: Dependant on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30 – flexibility required to fulfil the needs of the role
