As part of our continued growth, CRL is looking for a Construction Contracts Manager to join our team in Chesterfield!

Are you an experienced construction professional ready to lead large-scale or multiple projects with autonomy and purpose

We are now recruiting for a Construction Contracts Manager to manage the delivery of a number of construction projects or a large significant project with overall responsibility for all aspects of the contract.

In addition to this as our Construction Contracts Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing multiple construction contracts or a significant large-scale project.
  • Overseeing all aspects of planning, programming, and resourcing.
  • Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Liaising closely with internal teams, clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Managing budgets, cost control, procurement, and applications for payment.
  • Providing strategic technical, contractual, and commercial input at all stages.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records using CRM and contribute to regional reporting and planning.
  • Leading and motivating your team, ensuring high performance and professional development.
  • Supporting innovation, sustainability, and social value across all projects.

Construction Contract Manager – What we need from you:

  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and procedures (NEC / JCT), CDM Regulations, and employment law.
  • Proven experience managing multiple construction contracts with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with SHEQ standards in a construction environment.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and cost control.
  • Effective communicator across all levels, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with CRM systems.
  • Collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • SMSTS and CSCS Black Card (essential).
  • Degree or NVQ Level 5 in Civil Engineering or Construction-related discipline (achieved or working towards).
  • Professional memberships such as MICE / CEng / MCIOB / ICorr (desirable or working towards).
  • Full UK Driving Licence (required).
