Industrial UPS Sales Manager

Duties
- Manage customer expectations regarding completion of enquiry / tenders.
- Review, comment and negotiate commercial terms and conditions including credit requirements.
- Lead handover meetings where required and take ownership of commercial aspects including margins
- Attend in person and via Teams customer meetings as and when necessary.
- Discuss and review initial proposals regarding technical requirements of client\’s specification.
- Advise on best fit on technical products using existing technologies for AC UPS, DC Chargers and batteries.
- Understand and be able to interpret requirements for Installation, commissioning and maintenance.
- Support the tendering engineer and provide guidance on margins and targets prices to maximising margins/profit.
- Ensure enquiries, customer details, status and activities are logged and updated on the Company’s CRM system as part of Management Information reporting.
- Provide own quotes and tenders for products, installation and commissioning, service, spares and training as required to manage customer expectations and to assist other departments as and when necessary
- Attend site meetings and complete surveys where necessary
- Provide monthly reports and presentations alongside the Industrial Sales team or as an individual as required.
- Make recommendations on product development and pricing as appropriate.
- Update on market trends, competitors and market prices.
- Assist in development of others in the team and within other departments where required.
- Promote a “Can do” culture for internal and external stakeholders.
Experience
- Experience with the Standby Power Industry or similar industries such as switchgear would be advantageous.
- Understanding of power electronics.
- Be able to produce tenders / quotations would be beneficial.
- HNC or higher desirable or similar relevant experience
- Some experience selling into Rail
