What You\’ll Do
Our Healthcare team works closely with NHS and private healthcare organizations to drive digital transformation, optimize data management, and implement innovative healthcare systems.
We are seeking a Senior IT Consultant with up to 10 years of experience to join our growing Healthcare team. This role requires a strong consulting background, hands-on experience of designing, implementing and optimizing the Epic Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system within healthcare settings.
This position also requires hands-on experience with data management, technology delivery, and healthcare systems working on large complex programs. This position involves collaborating closely with clinical and administrative staff to enhance system efficiency, patient flow, and overall user experience and at the same time working with senior management to think strategically along with them to enhance, optimize and transform healthcare technology.
Key Responsibilities:
• IT Consulting & Advisory – Lead and manage IT consulting engagements within healthcare, working with NHS, private healthcare providers, or public sector organizations such as YouGov.
• Technology Delivery & Programme Management – Oversee end-to-end tech delivery programs, ensuring successful implementation of digital solutions.
• System Integrations & Digital Transformation – Support clients with healthcare system integrations, data migrations, and IT strategy development.
• Technical Guidance – Provide expert advice on the capabilities of the Epic system, ensuring it aligns with the organization\’s clinical and operational requirements.
• Workflow Analysis – Conduct in-depth analyses of current workflows to identify areas for improvement and ensure seamless integration with the Epic system.
• Integration Management – Ensure successful integration of the Epic system with other departmental systems and technologies, facilitating smooth data exchange and interoperability.
• Data Management & Analytics – Work with large datasets and data collections, ensuring security, compliance, and integrity.
• Healthcare Systems & Interoperability – Implement and optimize EHR/PAS systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, System C, EMIS, TPP SystmOne) and ensure compliance with FHIR, HL7, and NHS Digital standards.
• Security & Compliance – Ensure projects align with regulatory and security requirements, including GDPR, NHS Digital, & ISO 27001
• Stakeholder Management – Collaborate with senior executives, clinicians, IT teams, and policymakers, translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Agile & Waterfall Project Delivery – Drive project execution using Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies to meet client objectives.
You will be responsible for specific parts of the project and will evaluate and coach our clients’ technology teams, manage quality and risk while maintaining client expectations and escalations. You’ll develop ground-breaking projects by enabling our clients to effectively use agile methods and modern approaches in the context of strategic IT implementation.
You will also be supported by an extensive training curriculum, plus technology-specific training and mentoring to help build upon you technical skills. You will also help guide junior members of the team, help with project proposals, client care, building relationships with peers and identifying new business opportunities.
What You\’ll Bring
We’re looking for exceptional talent to join the team. You will typically have:
- Must be a UK passport holder – Required for SC clearance eligibility.
- Consulting Experience – 6 to 10 years experience (Can be consulting mixed with Industry) with a proven track record in an IT consulting environment, delivering technology-led transformation projects in healthcare. Experience in stakeholder engagement, client advisory, and program governance is essential.
- Technology Delivery & Programme Management – Strong experience in end-to-end tech delivery programs in a consulting environment. This includes:
- Implementing digital transformation initiatives in healthcare.
- Overseeing system integrations, cloud migrations, and data-driven projects.
- Overseeing Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
- Healthcare Sector Experience – Experience working with clients such as the NHS, private healthcare organizations. Knowledge of UK healthcare regulations, interoperability standards, and data protection laws (e.g., NHS Digital, GDPR, and Data Security & Protection Toolkit) is beneficial.
- Healthcare Systems & Technologies – Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) & Patient Administration Systems (PAS): Epic, Cerner, System C, Meditech, EMIS, TPP SystmOne, RiO, Lorenzo. Any specific certification (e.g., EPIC certification) is a good-to-have
- Clinical & Operational Systems: CareFlow, TrakCare, Allscripts, InterSystems, CliniSys,Omnicell.
- Health Data & Interoperability Standards: FHIR, HL7, DICOM, SNOMED CT, ICD-10.
- Cloud Platforms & Infrastructure: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, NHS Cloud.
- Business Intelligence & Data Tools: SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, Snowflake.
- Healthcare Cloud: Data management: and data integration and knowledge of Palantir Foundry toolset.
- Data Management & Analytics – Experience handling large datasets and data collections, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance. Understanding of data lakes, ETL processes, and data governance in a healthcare setting is a plus.
- Strong Stakeholder Management & Communication Skills – Ability to engage with senior executives, clinicians, IT teams, and policymakers, translating complex technical concepts into business insights.
- Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced, Client-Facing Environment – Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines while delivering high-quality solutions and travel to client sites
- A University degree with above average academic performance in a STEM related field or business management
