Line Setter
Location: South Liverpool
Package: £14.39 per hour + Overtime + Benefits

Our client, a well-established manufacturer in the packaging space, is looking to appoint an experienced Line Setter to join their growing production team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the importance of machine performance, preventative maintenance, and delivering quality at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Set production lines to meet performance and quality targets
- Carry out tool changes, machine adjustments, and cleaning routines
- Monitor and maintain machinery to minimise downtime
- Identify and report maintenance issues — both preventative and reactive
- Complete and maintain accurate records for shift performance, quality, and machine settings
- Support root cause investigations for quality and performance issues
- Ensure QHSE and GMP policies are followed at all times
- Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Actively contribute to process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with training and mentoring of other operators and setters
- Maintain housekeeping and hygiene standards on the line
Requirements
- Previous experience setting high-speed machinery in a production or packaging environment
- Sound mechanical aptitude and ability to carry out basic maintenance tasks
- Comfortable working with quality checks, audits, and safety standards
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Flexible to work shifts and occasional overtime as required
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- A relevant trade qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering)
- Good understanding of QHSE and environmental policies
- Experience with risk assessments and machine safety
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Familiarity with lean or continuous improvement practices

- £14.39 entry level rate, with 2 additional bands you can progress to once trained across all lines.
