On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking a Senior Programme Manager. Someone with deep understanding of modern infrastructure and platform engineering to lead the delivery of mission-critical, low-latency systems. This role requires a blend of technical fluency and structured project management skills, particularly in environments built on containerised platforms and high availability systems.
You will work cross-functionally with engineering, networking, platform, and operations teams to deliver infrastructure that supports ultra-low-latency applications with strict performance and availability SLAs.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end project delivery of infrastructure and platform engineering initiatives
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, identifying hardware, software, and networking dependencies.
- Lead cross-functional teams across infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, and application domains to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Manage integration with external and internal APIs, tooling, and market data feeds.
- Drive containerisation and Kubernetes-based rollout strategies, working closely with engineers to align schedules and deployment methods (e.g., blue/green, canary).
- Coordinate infrastructure-as-code (IaC) pipelines and GitOps workflows, ensuring version control and automation gates are embedded in delivery milestones.
- Govern technical delivery in a regulated and audit-sensitive environment, managing change controls, rollback mandates, and production readiness assessments.
Requirements
- Experience in programme management, with at least 5 years managing infrastructure programmes in the financial services or data sector.
- Proven track record in delivering complex infrastructure programmes (e.g., cloud migration, network transformation, endpoint management, disaster recovery, identity and access management).
- Deep understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of regulatory environments (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS, SOX, ISO 27001) and operational risk frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience managing third-party vendors, system integrators, and outsourced service providers.
- Expertise in programme governance and budgeting, with ability to manage multi-million-dollar programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at CxO level.
- Familiarity with ITIL, TOGAF, and other IT service management or architecture frameworks is an advantage.
