Job Title: Retrofit Site Manager
Location: Cardiff – Site Based
Salary: £40,000 + Car Allowance + Fuel + Bonus Scheme
We are currently working with a specialist contractor delivering retrofit and energy efficiency projects across the South West and Wales. They are now seeking an experienced Retrofit Site Manager to oversee site operations on a range of decarbonisation and low-energy housing schemes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on site manager with strong technical knowledge in retrofit systems and a passion for improving homes and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day delivery of retrofit projects, ensuring compliance with PAS2030/2035, Building Regulations, and funding requirements (ECO etc.)
- Develop programmes of work, manage budgets and ensure works are completed to scope, standard, and schedule
- Maintain full compliance with H&S legislation and company policy on site
- Conduct regular inspections to monitor quality, progress, and safety
- Build strong working relationships with clients, residents, engineers, and subcontractors
- Support and manage operatives and sub-contractors, resolving technical and performance issues
- Ensure client enquiries and issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner
- Oversee installation of energy efficiency measures including insulation, ventilation, window and door replacements, low carbon heating, and lighting upgrades
- Report project progress and site productivity clearly to the commercial and operational teams
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing retrofit or energy efficiency works on site
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- IOSH Managing Safely
- CSCS Manager’s Card
- Strong understanding of PAS2030/2035 and compliance requirements
- Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills
