Shipping Coordinator

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Shipping Coordinator for a leading multinational manufacturer of construction and mining equipment client based in Peterborough.

This is an initial 12 months contract position working on site 5 days a week.

Pay rate is £15.05ph PAYE or £20.43ph Umbrella.

Duties of the role/Responsibilities

• Receives, verifies, and processes shipments.
• Arranging for adjustments or replacements for lost or damaged merchandise.
• Keeping records for incoming shipments and products; checking the quantity, quality and basic condition of contents to ensure alignment with original order.
• Moving shipments to the proper departments and maintaining records for reference.
• Preparing invoices, shipping documents and mailing labels; keeping records of all shipments.

Education/Experience

• Degree or equivalent experience desired
• Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed
• customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
• Provides a quality of service that customers describe as excellent.
• Resolves common customer problems.
• Adjusts to new or changing assignments, processes, and people.
• Demonstrates willingness to listen to other opinions.
• Provides examples of shifting from task to task.
