Java Developer

Our international client is looking for a Java Developer to join their team for a freelance B2B contract that is 6 months with a high chance of extension. This position is 3 days a week on-site in Belfast and 2 days remote for the duration of the project. The project is forecast for 2+ years.

Required Experience:

• Strong programming experience in Java (Spring Boot or other Java frameworks).
• Advanced SQL skills, including performance tuning for large datasets.
• Experience using AWS services for data engineering (eg, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Athena).
• Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL workflows, or event-driven architectures.
• Experience developing microservices is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of financial data (reference, counterparty, instrument) is advantageous.
