Job Description

The Company and Role:

A boutique real estate investment manager partnered with a leading PE partner and focused on the central London market, is seeking an Asset Manager to join their team in an exciting growth hire.

Core role responsibilities will include:

Asset Management:

  • Assisting with the formation of asset management strategies for existing assets and prospective purchases.
  • Execution of AM initiatives, including items such as capex programmes.
  • Third-party management

Leasing:

  • Working with agents to set letting / marketing strategies for assets.
  • Co-ordinating agents to let and sell properties as appropriate.
  • Preparing Heads of Terms with agents.

Property Management (NB. this is overseeing external managing agents):

  • ‘Onboard’ new transactions
  • Oversight of ‘day to day’ property management
  • Overseeing tenant applications for sub-letting, assignment or alterations.

Other areas this individual will get involved in:

Investment:

  • Sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities.
  • Actively promoting the business, with new and existing contacts in the investment market.

Development:

  • Working with Technical teams and agents on specification, design and layout of developments and financial viability (mainly coordinating other professionals).
  • Development site visits to review status of ongoing projects.

Candidate Profile:

  • Chartered Surveyor status is desirable but not essential. Most likely 1/2 years PQE.
  • Likely from a property management background with office and mixed use asset experience. Central London asset exposure would be highly desirable.
  • Understanding of Landlord and tenant issues

Renumeration:

The salary will be dependant on experience but is likely to be in the range of £50,000 – £60,000 plus benefits and bonus.

This is an unusual opportunity to work in a small, specialist team focused on the exciting central London market but also benefiting from the backing and capital of a top tier PE partner. Unlike a lot of the market currently, this client is extremely busy and actively acquiring and so offer a very appealing opportunity to someone seeking a broad client side role with full life cycle experience.
